With Dawsonrentals you know where you are.
From January 2008, all new Dawsonrentals trailers will be equipped with the market leading Axscend asset tracking system. The system consists of a highly integrated device specifically designed to locate non-powered assets (such as trailers, swap bodies or sea containers). The GPS unit attached to each trailer transmits its location via a satellite network, which means that there are no “black spots” commonly associated with tracking systems that use GSM networks. The satellite network forwards data to the Axscend computer systems. End users access data over the Internet using their own secure login to a “data portal”. The data portal not only provides location information but can also be used to schedule MOTs, and Service intervals.
The benefits of using trailers with the Axscend system are extensive. It is a practical and easily managed method, proven to significantly improve asset utilisation and fleet control. Trailers and loads are also more secure, a number of Axscend customers have recovered stolen trailers within hours of them being stolen. The potential savings on lost or stolen assets along with the piece of mind is priceless.
All Dawsonrentals new trailers feature this tracking system free of charge.
